Hi, I applied on 8th December, 2002....and still no answer.

Also, I can't quite remember in which category I applied - I think that it was Regional/Europe/Yugoslavia/Business_and_Economy/Consulting (sorry, it was long time ago). But I have registration key - it is "opendir - e90e555356fa7c032cd86ef0eb1f90aa".

No application in the queue for that category, and nothing older than the beginning of January in the queue anyway. Better try again and make sure you read the FAQ and General Advice thread before you apply. A lot of good information there.

Just one more question: If I'm submiting for a category in World/Srpski/ category, can application form be filled in my mother language (Srpski, Serbian) since user interface on form is in Serbian, and all sites and their description in World/Srpski are on Serbian?

Ok, I filled out form and hit send button only to recieve this message:

 

"Oprosti, ali mozes imati samo jednu prijavu odjednom. "

 

...which, translated to english means something like "Sorry, but you can have only one application at the time."

 

So, what does that mean?

That sounds like your original application is still waiting for review and that you guessed which category you'd applied for incorrectly in your first post. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" /> Unless maybe there's a bug occurring here that makes it think your app is still pending.

Well, at least now I know which category I applied into...

 

...it's past 2 months since then. Any idea if that application will be taken into consideration any time soon?

I'm seeing one application in the queue for http://dmoz.org/World/Srpski/Posao/Firme/Dizajn/Web/ Nothing else for World/Srpski. Is that yours? This application was only submitted on Feb 6th, 2003.

No, that for sure is not my application. I'm sure that the one I submitted was on 8th December 2002 - I still have ODP automatic e-mails. The only thing I wasn't sure was category, it was either

World/Srpski/Posao/Firme/Gradjevinarstvo

or

Regional/Europe/Yugoslavia/Business_and_Economy/Consulting.

 

I have just tried to submit another application in World/Srpski/Posao/Firme/Gradjevinarstvo, but I again get that "sorry, only one application at the time".

 

I'm sorry because I'm bothering you (I usually write down all my important activities on Internet, INCLUDING ODP category I applied for), but is there any way to search existing applications using my registration key? (e90e555356fa7c032cd86ef0eb1f90aa)

Nothing there still, but I'll send this information to our technical person. It sounds like the old application is stuck in the system somewhere, but it's not showing up. This happpens sometimes.

I was just thinking about this again. When you got the email saying that your application had been recieved, did you reply to that email? The first email that you recieve requires a reply so that the system can move it into the queue for processing.

Don, thank you on your effort to help...I got two emails from ODP, first with registration key. I replied on that email and then got second email with subject "Open Directory editor application received" and body:
