allrise Posted November 10, 2004 Author Posted November 10, 2004 - Just curious, I notice most of requests, receive responses fairly quickly, is there something wrong with my submission? Don't mean to rush anyone, just curious is all. LOS
allrise Posted November 15, 2004 Author Posted November 15, 2004 I'm really anxious to hear from someone regarding my sites submission status thanks in advance

allrise Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 Just checking back in, any status... Happy Holidays!
Meta hutcheson Posted November 30, 2004 Meta Posted November 30, 2004 Diana Jana knows you meant well (jk...) You're welcome to bump the thread for a new status check -- six months after the last one. (not kidding, see the forum policies...)
allrise Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 wow thats amazing, seems like most people get answers, in just a few days. Harshness, do you have any clue why that is.
ukros Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 wow thats amazing, seems like most people get answers, in just a few days. Harshness, do you have any clue why that is. The harshness you refer to: It is understandable that some are disappointed to hear their site has been rejected and the reasons for rejection are not always easy to work out. It also isn't easy to be patient for a period of up to 2 years or more, waiting for a site to be reviewed. But not all who post here realise that a dmoz listing is not provided as a service to webmasters, but as a service to web users, any value to a site owner is a bonus. ODP is also completely run by volunteers. If the editors sometimes seem a little short, just browse down just a page of threads in this part of the forum - how many have followed the guidelines in their initial request for a status report? You followed the guidelines in your first post, you have had kindly replies. (I have met with nothing but helpful answers here too)
Meta hutcheson Posted November 30, 2004 Meta Posted November 30, 2004 Forum policies. People who follow them get immediate answers. Others get pointers to or summaries of the policies. I was assuming English was your native language, and you'd understand the abbreviation "jk"="just kidding". That may have been a mistake.
allrise Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 lol..........No I got you, I just thought you were serious as hell about 6 monthes, I did notice that in policies page. But I did believe that I followed posting policies to the letter. I do appreciate your time as well as the other volunteers that make ODP function. Just one of those kid in the candy store things, I see alot of potential with being listed on DMOZ and I'm just super anxious to get it going. Don't mean to let my impatience spill through, sorry about that. Thanks for the help
allrise Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 if you had've used ebonics I would've more easily understood.
