Guest rencat Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Hi, Just wondering how long it takes for the site I submitted to be added to the database. Category submitted to: http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Education_and_Training/Technology/ etouch.com.au Thanks, rencat
dfy Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 I can find no evidence of that site ever having been submitted to that category. Sorry.
Guest rencat Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" /> I just submitted again both: http://www.etouch.com.au http://www.roadwarrior.com.au Got same error as before that Autumn (webmaster at dmoz.org) said shouldn't affect submission: > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Autumn Looijen [sMTP:autumn@netscape.com] > > Sent: Saturday, February 08, 2003 6:37 AM > > To: Cat, Ren > > Subject: Re: Server Error > > > > > > Funny, I've been looking into this problem, and can't duplicate it. > > > > You're not the only one having problems; I think these submissions do go > > through ok. Thanks again, rencat
uzs980 Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Have you submitted them to Business: Education and Training: Technology again? I'm afraid I could find neither in the queue of that category. <img src="/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" />
Guest rencat Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Yes to Business: Education and Training: Technology again!
motsa Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 What error is it that you're getting? The one that says it has redirected your submission to the misplaced folder or a time out error?I just submitted again both: http://www.etouch.com.au http://www.roadwarrior.com.auBoth won't be listed. Since roadwarrior.com is a subsite of etouch.com.au, only etouch.com.au should be submitted. Note: You'd also qualify for a listing in North Sydney. [wow, that was weird. This forum obviously doesn't like .com.au URLs in a quote -- it added all kinds of broken HTML code to it.]
Guest rencat Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 So will one of them be listed and what do I need to do? If I need to re-submit, what if I get same error? rencat
Guest rencat Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 I still haven't recieved a reply. Will someone fix the problem with your submission page or sumbit for me, as I've tried and it does not work. rencat <img src="/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" />
motsa Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 Please read the first post in this thread. It should answer your question.
Guest rencat Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Hi, I've tried again, and it seemed to work this time! Yeah! So, now I can ask, how long do you think before the site's on the database? Thanks, rencat <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />
Meta windharp Posted February 19, 2003 Meta Posted February 19, 2003 We cant promise any timeframe. Editors are working as volunteers only, with no limitation regarding the number of edits they do. The queue is rather large, so I would not expect to be listed very soon. Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
Guest rencat Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Apologies for the persistence, but what does not very soon mean? 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year? <img src="/images/icons/smirk.gif" alt="" />
motsa Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Any of the above. Could be anywhere from a day to a year...or longer. Will probably be a month or two at least but, then, I could be wrong and the site could be listed tomorrow.
