Guest jraff Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Hi, I submitted one of our product sites to the directory in december. I have since resubmitted the site in January, but still am unlisted. Category Site Thankyou! Justin.
dfy Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 I see your submission in the queue, dated 28th January. Each new submission overwrites the old one, so if an editor has the unreviewed queue sorted by date (the default), a new submission will knock the site to the bottom of the queue.
Guest jraff Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Thats better than being totally lost in cyberspace.. Thanks for your reply.
Guest jraff Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Hello... It's now the 5th Week since my second submission, and approaching 10 weeks since my original submission. I was wondering if if would be possible to get an update on progress? Position in queue? Many thanks.
dfy Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 You only submitted on 28th January, so you've not been waiting for very long. There are well over two hundred submissions waiting for review, and all but a dozen of them were submitted before your site. I'm afraid you'll have to be patient. We ask that people leave at least a month between enquiries.
Editall/Catmv cleve Posted March 7, 2003 Editall/Catmv Posted March 7, 2003 Hi jraff. What editor dfy said is correct I'm afraid. I would give it at least another couple of days then check the category again.
Guest jraff Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Good morning, http://www.filecentre.net did seem to be successfully listed during the past month, but has since disappeared! Is this normal behaviour or should I expect to be listed again? Thanks once again for your help... Justin.
Guest jraff Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Sorry... please ignore! <img src="/images/icons/blush.gif" alt="" /> I was checking google's mirror of the directory instead of the original. My site is still listed in DMOZ.
Meta windharp Posted April 8, 2003 Meta Posted April 8, 2003 Nothing disappeared - still listed in http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Document_Management/Products/ - not touched since the time it was listed. Make sure you are not looking at a mirror / datauser (like google), remember that the search database may be out of date so that search will not always find up-to-date results.
