Guest Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 I'm planning to add OPD data to my site (a nuke-like web) and before begin to do anything I would like to know if anyone knows any ODP related addon to php-nuke. Also, I would like to customize the add link page. Looking at its code I see some vars that I don't understand. This vars are "index" and "lk". Anyone can help me? Thankkkksssss :/images/dmoz/purplegrin.gif
apeuro Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 The add link page points back to the ODP, as is required by the Attribution Tag which in turn is required to be displayed by the Free Use License. Although you can technically build a proprietary submission system on top of ODP data, you would still be required to have the "Add URL" link point back to DMOZ. Not to mention that all attempts to date have failed miserably - anyone remember Xoron formerly known as Wherewithal?
stevesliva Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 Didn't know Werewithal changed their name to Xoron. Funny, I don't think I'd intentionally pick a name that rhymes with moron.
Guest Posted May 14, 2002 Posted May 14, 2002 Upps, I had not read that. Well, it was a minimun problem. Thanks any way /images/icons/wink.gif

yapuka Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 ODP in Nuke Hello, Ecomjunk has a module that allows you to view the OPD inside your Nuke-powered site. Take a look at: http://ecomjunk.com/modules.php?name=Open_Directory I believe you need to register in order to use it. PS, this is great for me: my employer uses Websense, a web filtering system that blocks (among others) parts of ODP. But I can browse the entire directory through Ecomjunk! <img src="/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" /> yapuka
