Rejection clarification

Recommended Posts

I applied to be an editor and was rejected because of my titles/descriptions. I read the guidelines and I guess I don't understand why they were rejected. brakle was my intended name. Is there any clarification I can get? I reapplied, but wanted help incase I get rejected again. I don't want to keep reapplying making the same mistake over and over again. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Unfortunately I didn't save my first application. I guess I should wait for the outcome of the new application, which I saved this time, and ask then.

Thanks

Since most of what you will be doing as an editor is writing Titles and Descriptions for websites belonging to other people, it is vitally important that you are able to do this to a very high standard, and to the ODP guidelines. Sub-quality editing will otherwise lead to accusations of abuse from those other submitters, and/or unwanted attention from the Meta editors who oversee the overall quality of the directory.

Well yes, as an editor decent descriptions good. But for a new editor application we are *not* looking for perfection. Mainly just potential and a little common sense.

Editor applications are not saved, so I can't help explain why you were rejected.
