dilipsam Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 Dear Editors, I would like to know whether this is possibe: Our client's site http://www.qldtravel.com.au is listed at http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/Australia/Queensland/Localities/T/Torquay/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Services/ Apparently the client offers tourist services for the whole of Queensland, not just Torquay alone: The head office is located there and hence we did a mistake by submitting and getting listed there. Can this site be moved to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/Australia/Queensland/Travel_and_Tourism/ ? Regards, Dilip Samuel
Meta hutcheson Posted December 22, 2004 Meta Posted December 22, 2004 No, you saved yourself a lot of waiting time (and us a bit of effort) by submitting to the town where the office is, not to the spiral arm of the universe where marketing effort was focused. Thanks -- that's a rare bit of extra effort, and we do appreciate it. And no, if we considered moving it, we would decide against.
oneeye Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 hence we did a mistake by submitting and getting listed there Don't beat yourself up, the site has never been submitted there, it was moved and listed there by an editor (me, as it happens, it's your lucky day!). However, there have been 5 duplicate submissions made since (at least), so you/your client can stop now you know it is listed in the right place. Please! Have a good Christmas!
