I submitted my web site http://www.e-techuk.com about 6 weeks ago and a few weeks after found my site on dmoz. Problem is that I wondered why i couldnt see my title, description and site on google, so i checked back again in dmoz and now it cant find my site. Can anyone assist why my site was there and now isnt. Please advise ASAP. Thank you

Eadetech Limited

It was listed in Dagenham/B&E on 2nd December and it hasn't been processed in any way since.

I note that there isn't a bricks and mortar address on your website. Adding one to your contacts page would give us some confidence that it's eligible for that listing :D .

Jim, thanks for that message. If i add my home address are you saying that i would then get listed. Your collegue abdy sands said that i am actually listed in dmoz under the path http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Uni...ss_and_Economy/

but - does it take my title, description etc and go into google as all i can see of my web site in google is my url address with no information. Why is that. Also how long does it take for google to pickup the listing from dmoz ?

thanks

Dmoz search is infrequently updated and somewhat unpredictable.

The best way to search for listed sites is to truncate the domain name to remove any subdomains and just search on that.

e.g. search on e-techuk.com should bring up your site.

However the search database doesn't appear to have updated since 18 October, and your site was added in early December so it won't come up in a search yet.

When you do a search you can see at the bottom of the search output screen the last time the search database was updated.

As for google, as Jim said, we ain't google and can't help you there. :-)

If i add my home address are you saying that i would then get listed.

Generally without a definitive local address you won't normally get listed in a Regional category. If you are uncomfortable listing your home address, making it very clear the business is located in Dagenham in your company profile would be a good step. Your homepage just says Essex a.t.m. which is a bit vague for regional localities listing purposes.
