Guest tino Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 I submitted http://www.partywigs.co.uk some months ago under http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Health/Beauty/Hair_Care/Wigs/ without result so i recently resubmitted along with http://www.sneakypumpkin.co.uk/ under http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Holidays/Halloween/ (i think) and http://www.carnivalnovelty.co.uk/ under http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Costumes/Accessories/. So i was wondering where they are in the q and what timescale would be appropriate to make further enquiries if required? regards tino
uzs980 Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 http://www.partywigs.co.uk/ was submitted to Shopping: Health: Beauty: Hair Care: Wigs on August 23rd, 2002. It still hasn't been touched by an editor. It seems to me it might better fit into the Costume subcategory. http://www.sneakypumpkin.co.uk/ was submitted to Shopping: Holidays: Halloween on February 19th, 2003 and is waiting for review. http://www.carnivalnovelty.co.uk/ was submitted to Shopping: Clothing: Costumes: Accessories on February 19th, 2003, too, and is waiting for review. Please wait at least a month after submitted before asking about the status. You may ask again after a month.
jimnoble Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 With the same contact details on all of them, they look to be all part of the same organisation. A business doesn't get multiple listings just because it chooses to spread its website across several domain names. Had you thought of also submitting to your locality? This is concealed at the moment, but you could easily add an address to your contact page.
motsa Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 http://www.partywigs.co.uk/ doesn't actually offer remote shopping on its own (just through other companies) so it won't be eligible to be listed in Top/Shopping. http://www.sneakypumpkin.co.uk/ and http://www.carnivalnovelty.co.uk/ also don't offer any remote shopping so won't be eligible for listing in Top/Shopping. Since http://www.carnivalnovelty.co.uk/ seems to be the primary site, I'd say that it's the one that will end up getting listed somewhere.
jimnoble Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 Indeed. From the phone number, ../UK/../Gainsborough possibly. http://www.funnyfashion.co.uk/ is also a team member.
Guest tino Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 What category would be most appropriate for these sites? Would it be best to submit to our locality and would that require a full address or postcode? Should only one of the sites be listed and finally do i take any action at the moment or wait to see if a site gets listed? thanks for taking the time tino
motsa Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 I would add an address to the primary site and submit the primary site to the appropriate locality.
