Yes, it's all in the guidelines.

But it basically always boils down to two reasons -- either not enough information that is unique (it's amazing how many people have trouble with the u-word, but the i-word causes problems sometimes) or having content that is really better associated with another site (that is, doorway pages, vanity domains, affiliate sites, businesses that operate different sites under different aliases, and the like.)

Beyond that, it's really unnecessary to say. The webmaster knows where his content came from, and also knows who is the commercial beneficiary of the advertising on the site -- knows more than we do, and often knows more than we can know. You had best ask him those kind of questions.

We look at it the other way 'round. The submittal didn't help our editor find good content. No hard feelings, but if it's not helping us, it's time to close the conversation.

Thanks for your comment Hutcheson...

I think Dmoz is kinda picky about grammers and spelling(I can find out the spelling, but grammer and effective writing skill is really hard part)

And my problem is,,,"I'm not familiar with english" (I'm a korean)

So I couldn't make perfect sentence for description and title for my site...

If anyone can take a look at my site...and give me some hint about description and title.... I Will Be SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy....

Thanks everyone and Happy New year....

This is not a problem, it is a service we provide to all listable sites. If a site is listable an editor will make sure the title and description is correct before listing. Allthough good titles and descriptions are helpful, they do not change a sites listablility and are not a consideration when determining the sites listing.

Thanks.

I believe hutcheson already did in item #4

Please see the FAQ titled "Why won't you get into a discussion about why you won't list my site?".

And...check out the guidelines to see how long to wait.

Another bit of advice: if you don't understand the guidelines well enough to know why the site was rejected -- that's OK, but in order to help us you really need to understand them. So please don't try to help until you know what you're doing, OK?

I know that It sometimes takes long time to get into DMOZ

I'm politely asking you guys because my stat shows 2 visitors from DMOZ and I thought that could be the Editor,,,

And I thought It will be better to know the status than wait for another 6 month to post here since I show some visitor from DMOZ,,,

Do I have to wait for long time again to post here eventhough I saw some evidence??

You have no evidence, just posting in this forum results in visits from editors, and has nothing to do with your site being reviewed.

Just because a log shows a visitor who came from DMOZ does not constitute any evidence that it was an editor to review anything. In most cases as bobrat said it would be someone (maybe an editor) who was reading this forum thread and out of curiosity went to the link just to see what kind of site it was.

Please do not make any assumptions based on a log entry. They really are meaningless when it comes to the review of the site in question.

When were they most recently suggested? You need to wait a month before asking here. Please bump this thread when that time has passed. Based on your post saying you'd resubmitted, that would be 31 Jan. Thanks.
