silus Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 I believe I submitted http://www.turnertrends.com to the following directory: http://www.dmoz.com/Business/Investing/Research_and_Analysis/ However, I neglected to write down which directory I submitted it to, so my apologies if that's not the correct one. I submitted it about a month ago, and I'm wanting to know its status. Is there a large backlog in this category? Thanks
djdeeds Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 Foudn it waiting in a sub cat: http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Research_and_Analysis/Technical_Analysis/ We don't give out stats on unreviewed numbers; they don't give any meaningful information.
silus Posted April 8, 2005 Author Posted April 8, 2005 I'm concerned I have submitted to the wrong category. My web site is a stock investment advice site. It has a newsletter, stock portfolios, and stock ratings. We are only doing stocks now, but will be adding mutual funds later. I submitted in the category above, but that looks like more of a pure technical analysis category. I found the following categories which could apply. Could an editor help me pick the right one, and possibly move my submission over there? I prefer the first one because we'll be doing mutual funds later, and some of my direct competitors are there (which says to me that's the one to be in). http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Guides/ http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Stocks_and_Bonds/Equities/Research_and_Analysis/ http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Stocks_and_Bonds/Equities/Guides/ http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Stocks_and_Bonds/Equities/Resources/ Thanks!
spectregunner Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Moving the site to the correct (best) category is part of the site review process. We don't go moving unreviewed sites around because it is counterproductive to do so. Just be patient. If it gets accepted, and you don't think that is the correct category, then at that time you can request a change via the update URL process.
