Site has been denied due to numerous errors within the site. I did hit a few random links and found areas "temporarily down for maintenance." Errors were found during three reviews all taking place this month.

Thankyou for your quick response. I wasn't aware that the site had been reviewed this month. Just recently I was told the site wasn't even submitted.

Is it possible to get the site looked at again? I actually just turned on the doctor finder, which was down temporarily as the page stated.

We did have mutiple problems this month attempting to get the php bulliten board working with the new version of apache (2x). You'll fine everything working, and a check for broken links on dreamweaver reports zero.

We've put in many hours on the apache problem, and it has been stable now for some time.

Thankyou.

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery.

Can I ask for an updated site status report? I submitted with a note (as per an edmin's suggestion here) that the previous apache 2.x upgrade problems were rectified, and the site has been stable for some time.

I ask because I see that according to my logs, I have 1 hit from dmoz, but I can't seem to find the listing here:

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery.

Thankyou for checking on that.

Im starting to really wonder about the review process. http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery.com has by far the most targeted botox information on the net.

The FAQ is 28 pages, and there are about 50 news articles pages. With the addititon of a new doctor finder and forum, that content will only grow. There is no faster site to respond on the net to questions about the procedure, as I personally get back to people within the day. The site is at about 120 pages of information now.

In comparison, this DMOZ site listed in the same category: http://www.botox-injections-information.com/ is 8 pages total. I have all of that information listed and more.

I am confused as to what "a low level of content" is when my site has 15 times the pages of good quality information than a site that was accepted.

Can someone please help me understand?

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery/

The editor that reviewed your site felt that the 'doctor finder' was the element that the site seemed to be focused around. At the moment that 'doctor finder' will only help you to find one doctor (or none if, like me, you're using Mozilla to view the site).

One or less doctors constitues a severe lack of content.

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery

May I get another site submission status check please.

I hope to have satified the requirments here. After some hard work our doctor finder has almost 38 doctors in about as many states, and they are constantly being added as we move forward.

Thnakyou again for your help.

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery

yes sir, I have. It was a day that took 4 refreshes to get dmoz to load the front page, and about as many per page to get a submit page to come up. It did say that the site had been submitted, but with all of the problems, it could very well have not worked.

Can I assume by your message the it is not in cue, and that I should re-submit it with no fear of doing a duplicate submission?

dfy,

Just fyi, I dl'd mozilla (man does this interface bring back memories) and I've seen what you mean about it not passing the variables to the final pages of the doctor finder.

My programmer is going to take a look at it and try to get it worked out.

Still no hits from dmoz, so I guess the site is still in cue.

Thanks

dfy,

The site now works with Mozilla. thankyou for pointing that out. You mentioned that you didn't review it because of the mozilla problem... would you be willing to now? Or perhaps, can you check the status?

I have 2 hits from dmoz in my logs, but no trace of the site in serps. Can someone tell me what that means or how that might have happened?

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery

An editor visited and reviewed your site, clicking on the link from the editor's interface.

I'm sorry to inform you that the site has been rejected for lack of unique content.

The site promotes cosmetic surgery using Boxtox, but there is already the official Allergan http://www.botoxcosmetic.com/ site offering the same (and more) information.

Also, searching for botox doctors on your site there are only a couple doctors listed in the entire United States.

It appears that the site is still in the beginning stages of developing: stripping out the load of marketing hype and keyword stuffing we're left with minimal information, already well represented in other (official) sites.

Re: status req: http://www.botox-cosmetic-surgery

Thankyou for explaining how I would get a hit from DMOZ.

Well, I'm dissapointed and discouraged.

I look to other examples with the stamp of approval and try to see what I am doing wrong. I've looked at another site you listed on the same topic and see that its 8 pages of information, much less than our almost 200 page site. Im confused how this could be listed, but not my site. I see many doctors listed at dmoz with truly nothing but "marketing hype" and office hours listed, and really just a couple FAQ's listed, and wonder what I am lacking when they get listed, and I don't.

Perhaps I can address some of the concerns with my site.

While it seems you could only locate a couple doctors, there are 71 doctors listed in the doctor finder, at least 1 in every state, representing most major US cities.

The official site lists 10 FAQ's. I answer 28 FAQ's, not including the 10 questions answered in the forum, which is unique content and feature not on the other site as well. I did a review of my FAQ's to see if 'marketing hype' seeped in, but can't seem to find it. I attempted to be accurate and impartial in my FAQ, so if you could provide a link to the offending hype I would greatly appreciate it, and most likely revise it. I understand if you are to busy or if this is asking to much.

That said, I will continue to add more information and content created by the questions asked in the forum and emails, breaking news, etc, in hope of someday being listed.

Thank You
