WOW! Thank you! That category would have been my #1 choice, except there was no "Add URL" link on there, which disappointed me. Thank you VERY much for submitting my site there.

Both categories seem appropriate. I'm not sure what it means by "multiple systems" - we do sell supercharger systems and accessories for an array of automotive and marine applications. Please use your best judgment.

So, it sounds as though the submission is in queue and will be reviewed in the following weeks or months. I guess that means that I have nothing to worry about. I'll check back in a month or two by replying to this post if I don't see it listed.

Thanks once again!

"Multiple systems" meaning more than one automotive system. E.g., performance parts for engine and suspension and drive train.

The cooling system is included with the engine in the ODP categories, and I imagine the fuel line is too. So we'd have to squint pretty hard to say that a site specializing in supercharging systems was about more than one automotive system, even though it certainly is about performance.

There are quite a lot of unreviewed in all of the categories mentioned in this thread. But your site is awaiting review in what is probably the best category for it, the Shopping category for Engines.

The category is slightly crowded with submissions, so I guess it will take a while till the site is reviewed. Btw: It's still waiting.

It's still waiting for review and it's really hard to say how long it will still be.

There are more than 200 sites waiting for review in that category; it could really need an editor with lots of time to spend on it. We don't know when this editor will come; it might be tomorrow, it might be much later. And when he comes, we still don't know how long you'll have to wait. He may decide to start with your site; or he may decide to review other sites first.

I'm sorry not to have better news at this point.

Yours,

Robert

Hi, I was hoping to get an update on http://www.superchargersonline.com which has been waiting for review for several months in

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Vehicles/Parts_and_Accessories/Engine/

Any updated info on its status or the likely time-til-review would be greatly appreciated. Does it look like there is even a reviewer for this category?? It's now been around 5 months since the site was submitted. Thank you very much.

Sorry, no change at this time.

Unfortunately no time line can ever be given. I personally have a site that has been waiting in a health category for about three times as long as you have waited so far based on your date of submission, 05/Feb/2003--that is just part of how it works when editors are volunteer. All the sites are the same, it depends on interest in a category, number of sites waiting, the time an editor has to review, etc. No category is ever without an editor, metas and editalls can edit anywhere, as well as anyone higher up in the branch. I'm sorry I cannot give you a specific time line. The category you've submitted to is very backed up...so I imagine it will be awhile. My recommendation would be to wait three months and come back and inquire if you still don't see it. I'm sorry I don't have better news. <img src="/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" />
