easyrider Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Hi, I sumitted my site for review a few months ago and hoping I could get a status check. submitted to this category: http://dmoz.org/Adult/Computers/Internet/Searching/Link_Sites/Reviews/
senox Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Seems your first status request got overlooked and it would have been OK just to bump the thread, but since your approach is there's open source for ya, no one with any brains or talent will review sites for free I doubt anybody here will take the time to give you a submission status.
easyrider Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 overlooked this is my second status request
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted February 1, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted February 1, 2005 You mean, http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=31086 ? Read the status request guidelines. We couldn't answer that one.
easyrider Posted February 6, 2005 Author Posted February 6, 2005 what was wrong with that thread? I think you need to need to be a lawyer to understand the guidlines here
senox Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 What is wrong or difficult to understand about the 'FORMATTING YOUR REQUEST' section of http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17096 ?
easyrider Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 oops, I must have missed the guidlines (it's a pretty big forum), had no idea it took up to 6 months to get looked over, running these adult sites just makes you cranky sometimes, I do apologize if I offended anyone here
senox Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Easyrider, six months is the minimum wait time between status requests in this forum. It has nothing to do with the time to review. For more information about time to review please read the Forum FAQ at http://resource-zone.com/forum/faq.php? Your site is awaiting review in the category you mentioned in the first post.
easyrider Posted February 11, 2005 Author Posted February 11, 2005 I did get listed on yahoo's directory, i don't know if you look at that at all http://dir.yahoo.com/Society_and_Culture/Sexuality/Adult_Movies/Reviews/
senox Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 i don't know if you look at that at all No, absolutely not at all.
easyrider Posted February 13, 2005 Author Posted February 13, 2005 that's weird, I thought it would considering yahoo is a much bigger and more succesful company and could give dmoz a few ideas on the side
senox Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 y*hoo is a much bigger and more succesful company Well, we're not a company but a volunteer project, so our criteria for measuring success are completely different. Turnover, benefit and RoI aren't part of these, but quality of the listings, taxonomy and size of the directory are, or in other words, usefulness for the (end) users of our data.
