Guest Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Please provide a clickable link to the category you submitted to. Thanks. Generally questions about site submission status should better be posted in the 'Site Submission Status' forum. But you'll get an answer here too. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />
Guest angelbud Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Sorry here are the links http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Event_Planning_and_Production/Products_and_Supplies/ and http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Event_Planning/Products_and_Supplies/ Thanks again. jimnoble Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 For a "UK specific directory for the Event and entertainment industry" it seems to have a few gaps. For example, I really don't believe there are no bands, marquees or bouncy castles for hire in the SE - I've listed boat loads. No event managers or stationary there either. I've just spent 5 minutes exploring the SE through your directory and found no listings at all. Didn't find anything in Scotland either. We have a saying in ODP "Content is king" - which likely explains why you haven't been listed thus far. When most of your categories have several entries, please resubmit.
Guest angelbud Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Hi Thanks for taking a look. The site is a new directory, and expect to fill quite soon, it seems a shame though that not having enough content is a reason not to submit - where more content would be filled in the site if it was listed. Thanks Anyway
jimnoble Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 "The site is a new directory" I haven't checked when it was first submitted but we first declined it in early July 2002 so it must have been before then. "content would be filled in the site if it was listed" We are here to serve quality content to our surfers. We don't see it as a prime objective to help webmasters build their websites.
Guest angelbud Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 The directory part of the site has only just gone live in the last 3 weeks, it was first submitted when the original site was loaded which only concentrated as a support finder service to the events industry. I will resubmit in a few weeks when its looking a little fuller with our advertisers. Thanks.
