alinmaier Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I just wanted to check the status of http://www.arrowsfinancial.com submitted to http://dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Commodities_and_Futures/Forex/Research_and_Analysis/. Thanks
bobrat Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I can find nothing on the web site with a company address - am I missing something?
alinmaier Posted January 27, 2005 Author Posted January 27, 2005 interesting point Dear bobrat, Thank you for your prompt reply. Please note that unlike many stock market trading signals providers, http://www.arrowsfinancial.com is a free website. You can access the website's services by simply registering free on the website. You don't have to pay anything. I actually own a company which will operate arrowsfinancial.com if at some point in the future I will decide to turn it into a paid membership website, but for now, arrowsfinancial.com is simply created by me as an individual, and I'm paying for it from my own pocket not expecting anything in return. I can place my company's details under "about us" if this is what is required for getting listed, but I wonder: can't websites exist on the internet simply as websites and not as companies if they don't sell anything? Anyway, thanks for your reply. You opened my eyes to an aspect I have not considered before, and maybe I should have. So I'm actually looking forward to your next reply on the above arguments I brought. Regards, Alin Maier
bobrat Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 You don't have to have an address, but it might [not guaranteed] qualify you for a Regional listing in addition to the other one. [From a personal point of view - I do programming work for a stock trading company with a very similar name - so it caught my attention]
alinmaier Posted January 27, 2005 Author Posted January 27, 2005 Ok. I understand your point. And unfortunately it is harder and harder to come up with an original name on the worldwideweb. I will consider "transferring" the site to my company, eventhough I'm not really interested in a regional listing, since I'm not targeting any particular geographic region. I provide investing advice regarding currency trading to several private investors and currently arrowsfinancial.com is mainly used as a web interface for sending trading signals and other information to these investors. However, I hope to find the time and start promoting the site in online retail trading circles, which is why I want to list it on dmoz among other things. But coming to my initial question, what is the status of my website: has it been reviewed, is it awaiting review? Thanks, Alin Maier
