Hi,

 

I tried to apply to become an editor some minutes ago. But when I clicked the submit button the script timed out.

 

I had filled in everything and I know that it might have succeeded in fulfilling the applications. So I would appriciate if someone could check it out, if the application is there.

I am not a meta so I can't see your application but I have a generic comment that may answer your question:

 

The timeout issue happened to me, too. My experience is that the application did not go through if the script timed out. Another thing: Once you submit an application, an e-mail is sent to your e-mail address. You need to reply to this e-mail to complete your application. If you don't do this, nobody will see your application.

 

My guess is you did not get this e-mail, right ?

 

If you have not received the e-mail and replied to it, you should re-submit your application.

I'm sorry to say that I'm not seeing an application in the queue for that category, so as you suspect it probably didn't go through <img src="/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" /> I hope you kept a copy of the information you used in your application so save you some time when you re-apply. Darn system!

I have reapplied and this time I got the confirmation mail. So I guess now it's just to sit down and wait hehe.
