gepcom Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I recently noticed that my site had been dropped from DMOZ. I of course have resubmitted it but can anybody tell me why it was gone in the first place? It has been up and running for over 2 years now. What happend?
jimnoble Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Our logs show that it has never been listed but is currently awaiting review in Software Development.
bobrat Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 It appears that during some internal reorganization of the category structures it ws decided that your site no longer belonged where it was waiting for review, and was put aside to be recategorized. That means it was still waiting for re-review. Due to the very large number of software development related sites - creating a useable way of subdividing them is rather complex. The category you had originally sent the site to Computers/Companies/Software_Development/Custom_Development no longer exists. As jim says, your site never was publicly listed.
gepcom Posted February 2, 2005 Author Posted February 2, 2005 Scratching My head.... I had gone back to dmoz quite a long time ago and searched for GepCom to make sure it was listed and it showed up. So not sure why I dont show up in logs as ever being listed. I know the task is rather complex for this industry, do you have any idea when it might be listed? Thanks NC
