Status of STATUS

I have read and fully understand why moderators would want to end the status forum. It must be very time consuming. My question would be then: How do we find out the status of a subm, itted site ? Will there be a databases that is updated by moderators so that people can see the progress? I obviosly want my site listed on DMOZ and I am willing to help get it there. If I wait until June to write to you.....I am afraid you will be gone.

Please respond.

Thanks

We will be here, we just won't be ansering any more status requests.

DMOZ search is avaialble and functional

You can always use google search and restrict it to only search DMOZ.

There are other search engines that will allow you to restrict your search to DMOZ.

First of all: we won't be sigining off. We just won't answer status requests anymore.

Ofcourse searching with Google as Spectregunner meant will not give you an answer if your site is not listed. But it is a very good alternative (and in my eyes a beter one) for using the DMOZ search.

I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.

Basically, you won't know what's happening to a submittal until and unless it is accepted (and it may be accepted to a different category than you suggested.)

Without this information, you'll just have to follow the submittal policy.

And even WITH this information, you can't really do anything unless you understand the ODP process -- and in that case, you'll have already figured out the submittal policy is the best approach regardless of what other information you have.
