bru5ter Posted February 16, 2005 Author Posted February 16, 2005 I read in another post that you can submit twice to dmoz. Once to a specific category, and one to a regional category. Can you check to see if the site is waiting in the following category. site: http://www.bluesquaremedia.com.au Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service/B many thanks
uzs980 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Your submission to Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Full Service: B was rejected on January 8th, because your site was down. The site has not been resubmitted yet. If you are sure this is the most appropriate topical category for your site, you may resubmit.

bru5ter Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 blue Square Media Listed, thanks - 1 question though Hi guys Thanks for the speedy listing. 1 Question though. I am listed in the following category: site: http://www.bluesquaremedia.com.au Regional: Oceania: Australia: Queensland: Localities: B: Brisbane CBD: Business and Economy: Computers and Internet But I originally requested it to go in the following category: Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service/B Will the site be considered in the original category, or do you get only 1 listing? I am in no way whinging, just curious. ta Ian Blue Square Media
bobrat Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service/B Still waiting review there
Meta hutcheson Posted May 12, 2005 Meta Posted May 12, 2005 Two completely separate categories, two completely different reviews. One listing shouldn't prejudice for or against the other. It is just that the local listing is obviously more valuable: because there are fewer sites like it, it is inherently "more obviously unique". Thus, the hive mind of the editing community prioritized it. That "random flight over flowery meadows" technique works amazingly well at correctly picking out the best categories to work on.
