Guest azenker Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 I'm trying to find the status of my site located at: http://www.adriansphoto.com I submited to: http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Photography/Services/Restoration/ My site was submited 2 months ago and I resubmited on march 10, 2003. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I really need to get listed. TIA Adrian.
dfy Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 I can see your site in the queue for that category, but there's a medium sized queue there so you'll have to exercise your patience a little. Unfortunately, every submission you make overwrites the last one, so your latest submission is the only one in the queue. This means that if an editor sorts the queue by date (which is the default), you've bumped yourself down to the bottom of the queue. Sorry about that. I can't say anything more than just sit tight, and wait. If nothing has happened after a month, come back to this thread and ask again.

It's nothing you could influence from the submitters site. Of course you are free to apply to become an editor somewhere to help the ODP. (Maybe after reading the huge amount of tips you can get in the apropriate forum) Google: Sorry, but that is something we don't care about. We are working on a directory, not on google. Guest azenker Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Thanks for the information, I'll follow your advice on becoming an editor in a small category maybe, since I would really like to help and looks like there is a shortage of editors. Anyway, sorry about the google remark, I was just getting a little frustated but I do realize that you guys are all volunteers and it takes time getting listed when there's no editor in the category. Again, thanks for the help.
