Brian Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 I last submitted my url http://www.steritool.com to this category: http://dmoz.org/Business/Construction_and_Maintenance/Tools_and_Equipment/Tools/Hand/ on 5/15/04. I assume that by now it has been rejected, but I do not understand why. It seemed to me to be the most appropriate category (my company makes hand tools) What can I do to get my site included?
uzs980 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Good news number one. Your site wasn't rejected. A submission of May 19th, 2004 is still waiting for review in Business: Construction and Maintenance: Tools and Equipment: Tools. Bad news number one. There is a large number of site waiting for review in that category; it may still take some time to review them. Good news number two. Your site offers a German language version. So you may also submit it to the appropriate German language category, probably World: Deutsch: Wirtschaft: Bauwesen: Maschinen und Werkzeuge: Handwerkzeuge. Good news number three. Your site offers a French language version. So you may also submit it to the appropriate French language category, maybe World: Français: Commerce et économie: Produits et services industriels: Machinerie et outillage: Outillage. Good news number four. Your site offers a Spanish language version. So you may also submit ito to the appropriate Spanish language category, maybe World: Español: Países: América: Estados Unidos: Economía y negocios. Good news number five. All of these submissions will be reviewed independently, so in the end your site might get listed in all four language sections. That 5 : 1, not a bad ratio, I think. Yours, Robert
Brian Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 That's good news, Thank you. So when I do submit to the foreign language categories, do I submit the domain only, i.e: http://www.steritool.com, or do I submit what is in effect the foreign language "home" page, as in http://www.steritool.com/german/de_index.htm? brian
