geemultimedia Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Please let me know the status of http://www.geemultimedia.com.au submitted Nov. 1, 2005, to 1. http://dmoz.org/Regional: Oceania: Australia: Victoria: Localities: M: Melbourne CBD: Business and Economy
uzs980 Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 I couldn't find your submission to that category. Your site wasn't rejected, and it wasn't accepted. It seems no submission of that URL ever made it to that category. You may resubmit, preferably to the subcategory Regional: Oceania: Australia: Victoria: Localities: M: Melbourne CBD: Business and Economy: Computers and Internet: Web Design and Development. A submission of September 2nd is waiting for review in Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Full Service: G.

geemultimedia Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 one more thing please also mentioned was A submission of September 2nd is waiting for review in Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Full Service: G. Please clarify what this means and if that listing can be changed to the current one?
uzs980 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 When did you submit to that Melbourne category? A submission of September 2nd is waiting for review in Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Full Service: G. means that the site was suggested for inclusion in our directory on September 2nd and that this site suggestion is waiting for evaluation to see whether it can should included in the named category. The submissions to those two categories are independent one from another; they will be reviewed by two editors, and in the end your site might get listed in both categories.
geemultimedia Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 Thank You Thanks for the reply. Is tere a generic waiting period to find out when a decision regarding this review will be made? Its been about 6 months so would really appreciate to know if possible what is to happen!! or when something will be known Thanks Again
Meta hutcheson Posted March 22, 2005 Meta Posted March 22, 2005 >Is tere a generic waiting period to find out when a decision regarding this review will be made? Yes: a lifetime. Because nobody knows that -- nobody CAN know that -- until AFTER the event. [i don't know what's so difficult about getting this message out, but we really haven't been successful. I keep trying. "There are no managers. There are no priorities. There are no deadlines. There are no quotas. There are no queues. There are just self-selected, self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed volunteers. Who knows what they will do tonight? I don't even know what _I_ will do tonight!" Think of it this way. There's a deck of five million cards. One has your name on it. About once a minute, someone draws a card from the middle of the deck, then shuffles the whole deck. And you're asking us how far from the top your card is!
bobrat Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 There is no time frame, there is no schedule, we cannot predict what may happen and when, please read the forum FAQ.
geemultimedia Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 hold up guys... i can only apopoligise... please try to understand my confusion. I was not aware that site submissions status requests were so enourmouse in numbers. I only assumed that 6 months was a reasinable waitinf period and that i would fall into a que of people in my catagory. My BAD.. how do i go about become a mod to submit my own site and others in its catagory? if you cant beat em join em.. We all cool?
uzs980 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Full Service: G is certainly too large for a new editor, but you could try with Regional: Oceania: Australia: Victoria: Localities: M: Melbourne CBD: Business and Economy: Computers and Internet: Web Design and Development.
