thengheng Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 We've recently added the link. Please feedback on this status. Thank you.
oneeye Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 How many web service sites have you submitted, what were the URLs, where did you submit them to, and on what dates?
thengheng Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 Please be more specific.. Can you elaborate more on the questions you've asked? Thanks.
Meta hutcheson Posted February 22, 2005 Meta Posted February 22, 2005 Those questions are pretty simple: all of them are capable of single-datum answers. Please answer them as they are to the best of your ability, elaborating the answers to the extent you think necessary to avoid any possible appearance of disingenuity. If further elaboration is necessary, we can ask: but it baffles me how "How many..." can be simplified much if at all. Let's start from there. This is your chance to rebuild a reputation, if that's what you want.
thengheng Posted February 22, 2005 Author Posted February 22, 2005 Feedback : Questions 1. How many web services ? One 2. URL ? http://www.eliteweb.com.my/ 3. Submitted to ? Regional: Asia: Malaysia: States and Federal Territories: Kuala Lumpur: Business and Economy: Computers and Internet: Web Design and Development 4. Date Submitted : Last month ( can't remember specific date, sorry ) Hope you can assist us in finding the status ASAP. Thanks.
oneeye Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Lets assume that your response is mistaken on more than one point. The question would not have been asked had it been the case. Would you like another go? Perhaps you could ask other people in your organisation. It is up to you but we cannot assist you without that information.
thengheng Posted February 24, 2005 Author Posted February 24, 2005 H.e.l.p. Could you please give us a link to refer to on some of the answers. We still do not understand why other people get straight answers to their queries, and we are not.
uzs980 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 It seems that the same site was recently submitted under another URL. Of course we don't want to list the same site several times with several URLs. You could help us to prevent that by telling us any other URLs for that site.
Meta pvgool Posted February 24, 2005 Meta Posted February 24, 2005 I'm not able to look at that category but from the questions raised by my fellow editors I suspect you (or some other people within the same company) have been spamming ODP by suggesting the same site, deeplinks, mirrors or other sites owned by the same company many times. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
oneeye Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 We still do not understand why other people get straight answers to their queries, and we are not. I'll give it to you straight. We know that you or someone on your behalf has breached the guidelines on the multiple submission of the same or related sites. We need to know the extent of those multiple submissions so we can tidy up the inappropriate ones, leaving just the one principal site for an editor to review. In the absence of such information we may have to assume that you consider multiple submissions of the same or related sites to be acceptable practice, maybe have done it before, maybe have a version of your site, or a related one, already listed. That is the sort of thing usually associated with the evidence in front of our eyes already. It is the reason we can exclude all sites related to you ultimately. Could you please give us a link to refer to on some of the answers. Absolutely not - you give us links to sites you have submitted, on your own behalf or perhaps for clients. We can then tidy these up and make sure only your principal site is included and that any client sites submitted are genuinely not related to your own business except as a client. So far you have given incorrect information on the extent of your submission activity and when it has been done. We have given you an opportunity to correct your mistakes because we really do want to give one of your sites a listing in due course if it passes a review. You can accept that opportunity or not and if not we will arrive at our own conclusions and deal with the situation under our guidelines for submitters of multiple identical or related sites, but time is running out for second chances at making a voluntary disclosure of your submission activity.
