rick_perkins Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Dear DMOZ Editor, I submitted my site so long ago I can't remember the date (> 1 year) or category. I have now submitted it to the regional directory. http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Kent/Canterbury/ and I think the category was ... http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Marketing_Support_Services/ Should I resubmit and make a note this time or are you able to advise on the status with the above details? regards, Rick
spectregunner Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 How recently did you make the Regional submission? Please do not resubmit unless specifically told to do so by an editor in this forum.
rick_perkins Posted February 24, 2005 Author Posted February 24, 2005 I was looking at my business category submission and still coudn't find it and discovered that a regional submission was also possible and I did the regional submission only a couple of days ago but the other submission has been "in the system" for at least a year. Please advise if I need to resubmit the category submission. Thank you for your attention on this. regards, Rick
uzs980 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Your submission of December 4th, 2003 is still waiting for review in the Business category, along with a very large number of other sites.
rick_perkins Posted February 24, 2005 Author Posted February 24, 2005 Thanks for the update. At this stage is there anything more I need to do apart from be patient? regards, Rick
uzs980 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Not much. You may come back to this thread in the end of March to ask about the status of your Regional submission.
Meta shadow575 Posted February 24, 2005 Meta Posted February 24, 2005 Thanks for the update. At this stage is there anything more I need to do apart from be patient? regards, Rick No. There is nothing more you can do other than carry on with your work, maintain your site and move ahead on your other site promotion plans. If you haven't seen it listed 6 months from now, you can come back to this thread and ask again. Hopefully there will be better news then. Shadow *The opinions I offer are my own and may not represent the opinions of Curlie.org or other editors.* It can take anywhere from two hours to several years for a site review to take place. I do not respond to private messages requesting site status checks. _______________________________________________ https://shadow575.wordpress.com/
rick_perkins Posted March 31, 2005 Author Posted March 31, 2005 Status of my regional listing. Could you please advise on the status of my regional listing. I'm a "one-man band" and work with small businesses locally so this would really help. Please let me know. regards, Rick
dogbows Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Good News, Rick! Your site has been listed in this category in Regional. http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Kent/Canterbury/Business_and_Economy/ Congrats!
rick_perkins Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 Great; thanks. What will happen with the category listing - presumably I wait and see and check back here in 6 months; yes? regards, Rick
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted April 11, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted April 11, 2005 Yes -- 6 months from message #4, which is only about 4 months now.
