motsa Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 You've already filed an abuse report as have a number of your members. Meta editors will review your allegations and should there be anything to them, will take action. If you see no action taken, then no abuse has been found. In any case, please do not submit any additional abuse reports as that doesn't help.
Meta pvgool Posted February 27, 2005 Meta Posted February 27, 2005 I see totaly no abuse from any of our current editors. All sites (and some others in the same category) have been deleted because of our standard reason : no or not enough unique content. I looked at both sites (the deeplink shuld never have been listed at all) and completely agree. Not enough unique content. Sending more abusereports will have no influence. Suggesting the same sites without major changes in content will probably only result in a permanent ban. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
ibsgroup Posted February 27, 2005 Author Posted February 27, 2005 Thanks.. that was quick. Obviously we have a difference of opinion as do such top world centres such as the Mayo Clinic, http://www.mayoclinic.com/invoke.cfm?objectid=F32C84B7-11F3-4E9D-80A5AD5354F27F4E&dsection=12, The United States Food and Drug Association , http://www.fda.gov/fdac/features/2001/401_ibs.html , I could go on and on if you like for a very long time... The IBS Group is the largest community of Irritable Bowel Syndrome sufferers in the world. I have no financial gain to make from this. The group lurches along only to provide a place for sufferers to find accurate and non-anecdotal information. The deeplink http://www.ibsgroup.org/cgi-local/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi was in the sub-category http://www.dmoz.org/Health/Conditions_and_Diseases/Digestive_Disorders/Intestinal/Irritable_Bowel_Syndrome/Chats_and_Forums/ exactly where it belongs like all the other ones that are listed there. I trust you will consider this from a patient's perspective and not some sort of a personal statement by an editor. None of the sites that I have put forward in order to be reinstated as an editor for the category or as a visitor have been added. Yet, an editor decided on that day (Feb 14/05) to remove these entries. I am finding this all too strange a coincidence. At the same time I would truly like to understand why my editor rights (ibsgroup) were removed in the first place. I was never issued any warnings nor told of any wrong doing. Thank you for your further consideration. Jeff
motsa Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 As a deeplink, http://www.ibsgroup.org/cgi-local/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi should never have been listed nor should ibsassociation.org (which has no content of its own). [added: having your members submit idiotic...and rude...site suggestions and abuse reports is so not helping things. ]
ibsgroup Posted February 28, 2005 Author Posted February 28, 2005 I understand. I will talk to my membership. Thank you for your further consideration. Jeff
