schohmik Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 What is the status of the site http://www.ms-consultancy.de which I have submitted for registration more than 8 weeks ago? Best Regards Manfred Schönrock
oneeye Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 You need to provide a *clickable* link to the category you suggested your site to. Thanks.
schohmik Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 Hello, I am not quite sure which category I chosed, but it should be either http://dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Financial_Consultants/ or http://http://dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Financial_Planning/ Sorry for the inconvenience but I didn't expect that it is of major importance. Best Regards Manfred Schönrock
schohmik Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 no answer yet Hello, what is the reason why I do not get an answer to my question why my website http://www.ms-consultancy.de is not registered? Best Regards Manfred Schönrock
Meta hutcheson Posted April 5, 2005 Meta Posted April 5, 2005 That is a question that we basically NEVER answer. Why would we? It doesn't help us build the directory. And it does strongly tend to expose editors to the reactions of disappointed webmasters -- which often begins with vicious abuse and calumny, and sometimes descends to (sometimes credible) physical and legal threats. Even the bearer of bad news often comes in for the vengeful threats! And -- we can't predict who are the psychopaths, who are the merely profane bad-tempered, and who will be polite and gracious. So in self-protection, we don't communicate that information for anybody. Sorry it's that kind of world. But it is.
schohmik Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 sorry.... As you see from my email address English is not my mother tongue so it could be that my question did not account for all the niceties of the English language. Sorry but how should I formulate my question to achieve that my website will be registered? I didn't want to be unpolite really. I hope you understand what I want to express. Best Regards Manfred Schoenrock
Meta hutcheson Posted April 5, 2005 Meta Posted April 5, 2005 We can't answer any question about the future. We can only tell what has already happened. What has happened so far is -- nothing. The site has not been reviewed by an editor. It is not waiting for review in either of those categories. If the site is in, say, German, it should not ever be in either of those categories. It should be in a category somewhere under World/Deutsch. You may pick a category there, and re-suggest the site. (And please do!) Also, note that we have a German-language forum here, where people whose German is MUCH better than mine will help you.
