Catagory Creation

What comes first, the chicken or the egg?

 

Ok, I think that a new catagory should be created for Concealed Carry type websites on the internet. They are many but spread out over all the other gun related catagories.

 

I would like to edit such a catagory but find that I first have to apply for a different catagory? ....one that already exist...

 

I have submitted an app already under the username THEBIRDBATH and recieved a confirmation on Feb 26th.

 

What can I do to be the editor of such a catagory that does not yet exist but needs to. With 46 states having CCW/Concealed Carry laws, shouldn't this have its own catagory?

 

I could list dozens of sites to fill it.

 

Let me know what I can do.

First you become an editor, then you learn to edit the categroy. If you see a need for another category or a sub-category, you open an internal discussion on the private editor forums, and get an agreement to create a category.

Quick question regarding new category creation...

 

Let's say an editor decides they want to create a new category for whatever reason...how long would it take to have that new category up and running?

Depends on the category. Could be minutes, could be years depending on the discussion required.

Apparently there is a ton of internal issues that I can't comprehend due to lack of knowledge.

I would assume it eventually comes down to whether or not that "new" category would add value to the directory.

Hopefully we get to see the category I'm subconsciousy wondering about in the near future
