<add> Never mind. I looked at the kuro5hin site and it's obvious which one it's summarising. Link removed </add>

in Regional/North_America/United_States/Government/Services :

www.govworks.com is now a search411 directory.

Interesting how I came across this one - I've spent this afternoon watching a documentary on how govworks.com raised $50 million in the dot com boom and then crashed when it couldn't make it back in revenue. For any dot com entrepreneurs out there, the documentary StartUp.com is well worth a look if you can get hold of a copy.

Dear kctipton,

My former web-site www.marquiswhoswho.net/SOBISCH listed under Business: Industrial Goods and Services: Engineering: Chemical: Employment: Individual Resumes is not online anymore since April 1st! However, it is used by Read Elsevier to redirect to their BioPages program! I was a customer of them, but I did not switch to their new BioPages program after they suddenly terminated their service.

It would be great if you could stop any listing connected to my former url www.marquiswhoswho.net/SOBISCH. Content has been moved to http://www.AppliedColloidsSurfactants.info and up-dated.

This is not a resume!!! So I think it should be listed under the topic Science: Technology: Chemical Engineering: Personal Pages.

By the way, I have checked the other listings in the category Resumes and except Dr. Farid Benyahia all links were active.

Kind regards

T. Sobisch

I reported this cat in another thread, but I spent 30 minutes going through the cat site by site to determine if the rest of the listings were legit. I don't know if an editor checked all these yet or not.

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Mexico/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Guides/

[*]"Not Found"

The site now seems to be a res. affiliate, searches go to an IP address instead of the domain.

http://www.all-travel.net/mexico/guide.htm

[*]"This site under contruction"

http://www.mexirover.com/

[*] Questionable amount of affiliate content (see maps, mexican grocery store, etc.) Also many "coming soon" sections.

http://www.majesticmexico.com/

[*] Questionable amount of unique content, seems mostly to be links to other sites and "sponsored listings"

http://caribbeanmag.com/mayan-riviera-mexico/index.stm

[*] http://www.mayanriviera.com/ seems to be owned by the same people as http://www.discovermexico.com/. You can decide if it is a mirror or not.

[*] http://www.mexicoadventure.com/ seems to be owned by the same people who own http://www.majesticmexico.com/. This is most notable by scrolling to the bottom of the index page where you see links to several offtopic sites that are also linked to from majestic. Furthermore, the essays seem to be the same on both sites.

[*] http://azteca.free.fr/ seems to offer very skimpy information, and seems to have been translated very poorly:

Puerto Vallarta was, there are a few tens of years, a nunspecified city of Mexican Pacific coast. But, this port which had stagnated during several centuries, knew a rebirth thanks to film " the Night of the iguana " of Huston turned on the very beautiful Mismaloya beach in 1963.

[*] http://www.vacation-destinations.com/mexico/ seems to rely mostly on affiliate links, which seem to be broken.

[*] a broken redirect for http://www.stormloader.com/mexico

[*] http://www.rosamexicana.net seems to have a lot of "coming soon" sections (Queretaro, Veracruz, Zacatecas, Baja California Sur, Tabasco, all random picks that had "coming soon")

[*] had an interface so confusing that I couldn't determine if it really has real information or not: http://www.worldtravelguide.net/data/mex/mex.asp
