Hello :)

A few weeks ago I submitted this url http://www.20roundmag.com

for inclusion in this category: http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Desktop_Customization/Wallpaper/Directories/

Days after submitting the site, a PHP glitch forced me to redesign the page so that the index.html file redirects the user to another page with in that same domain. (The user stays in 20RoundMag.com - he just gets redirected to a PHP file )

Now am I wondering - Have I inadvertently violated the "no re-direct" policy?

If so, must I take out that code and re-submit for inclusion?

Many thanks for your help !

Gratefully, JLerner

No, a redirect from root domain to the site's home page is the normal way (and for us, even the preferred way).

Even if you had violated the no-redirect policy, then we'd just have followed the redirect to review the real URL instead.

submission - possible duplication?

Greetings!

About a month ago I submitted this url http://www.20roundmag.com

for inclusion in this category: http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/...er/Directories/

Then, a short while later, I submitted my site to a number of search engines using one of those automated scripts. Afterward, I realized that the script re-submitted my site to DMOZ. (unfortunately, the script gave no indication of a specific category - it just indicated a general submission)

I appologize for the duplication. Will my site been rejected for duplicate submissions, or is it still in the que?

Many thanks for your help!

JL,

As I suggested in the other thread, please give us clickable links to the other categories you think this submission engine submitted the sites to and we can deal with them.

As for a status on the other submission, we space those out at 6 month intervals, so that we don't get people coming back with the "Are we there yet? Are we There Yet?" type questions.

So if you could help us to help you with those other cats... we'll do what we can to make sure the right thing is done.

Thanks.

[P.S. OK, I didn't read this message in detail. Having now read it, I don't think that an automated submission engine would know which category to suggest something, unless it asked you to pick from a list....]

That's good news. Hopefully the script dropped the extra submission and I am still in the que.

Please forgive the duplication - I'll check back in 6 months :)

Thank you for your quick response,

JL
