systemsnews Posted April 8, 2005 Author Posted April 8, 2005 How Do I change the Description Hello, I appreciate that I am listed in Dmoz but how do I change my description as Google is using the description Dmoz has placed on my url. My description should read: Used Office Furniture, Workstations, Cubicles, Office Seating and Office Furniture Dealer Information. If this description is not appropriate for Dmoz can you guide me to resources on how to create a description that will be approved ny Dmoz. Thanks for your help, Jim V.
spectregunner Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 My description should read: Used Office Furniture, Workstations, Cubicles, Office Seating and Office Furniture Dealer Information. No, it should not. Our editing guidelines define what does or does not make a good description. You should also understand that getting a site description written is NOT a collaborative effort. Once a descriptino is written and a site is published, most editors will not change that description except to: Correct a demonstrable error of fact. Correct something in the description that violates the directory guidelines. What Google, or Yahoo, or Fred's Directory does with the description does not enter into the equation.
Meta hutcheson Posted April 8, 2005 Meta Posted April 8, 2005 We already have a description that's approved by DMOZ. No further action is needed.
