Franco1977 Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Please can you update me on the submission of my directory listing for the following website: http://www.futureglobal.co.uk. I Have accidently submitted the site to multiple categories, as I didn't read the submission notes. http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Security/Alarm_Systems/ http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Security/Guard_and_Patrol/Executive_Protection/ http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Security/Consultants/Training/ Thanks Franco1977
spectregunner Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Please make the link to the category clickable so that we may better assist you.
Franco1977 Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 Links Updated I'm unsure if thats the entire list of links. Apologies. Thanks Franco1977
uzs980 Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I could find no trace of any submission of that URL to any of those three categories. You may resubmit. Please choose the one most appropriate category.
Franco1977 Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 Re-submitted Business: Business Services: Security: Guard and Patrol I've just resubmitted the site to the above category. It is suitable for multiple other categories. Thanks Franco1977
Franco1977 Posted April 18, 2005 Author Posted April 18, 2005 Update On Submission Can you confirm the submission has been recieved?
uzs980 Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 We can confirm on or after May 13th. Please come back to this thread then and ask again. Thanks.
Franco1977 Posted May 13, 2005 Author Posted May 13, 2005 Uupdate It appear my listing has not gone live. I presume it may have been rejected? If so are there any reasons for this and how do I go about recitfying the situation. Thanks Franco1977
Meta hutcheson Posted May 13, 2005 Meta Posted May 13, 2005 Your presumption is possible, but without a clickable link to the category, ... who's going to know? The reason for rejection is always "lack of adequate relevant unique content". Generally in a business category, that means a site usually needs to be about a real business, involving real people keeping busy with their own hands and neurons, providing real goods and services that nobody else can exactly duplicate. And it needs to be the only (the "unique") online representation of that group of people. With that information, you may be able to change your presumption to a certainty -- I don't know. Give us a clickable link, and someone will probably check.
Franco1977 Posted May 13, 2005 Author Posted May 13, 2005 Our website is a follows: http://www.futureglobal.co.uk We are a security company offering a wide range of services from manned guarding to terrorist contingency planning. We have contracts with major global companies and british Police force. So we are a very real business and offer a unique security package for multiple security needs. We would fit into multiple categories, but I submitted us into : http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Security/Guard_and_Patrol/ We are not within this category. I would like us to appear within the directory, so could do with some points on where I may have gone wrong. Thanks Franco1977
