pointbis Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Hi Everyone, My website is: http://www.motorpoint.com.au I had my above website listed in dmoz about a year ago but then about 5 months back it disappeared. I could not remember what category it was in so I resubmitted it to a different category. This is quite embarrassing but I forgot what category this was too also and am not sure what to do now. :embar: I was hoping if someone could tell me whether or not my website is currently being reviewed, should I resubmit it or if possible which category it was submitted too? Much appreciated, Vin
uzs980 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 The site was listed in Regional: Oceania: Australia: Business and Economy: Directories from December 12th, 2002 to February 5th, 2005. The site was then delisted for lack of original content.
pointbis Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 Thanks for the quick reply, Is it possible for me to re-submit it because we now do have the automotive directory running with over 50,000 Australian automotive businesses and growing? Plus it is also unique now as it is the only australian directory that searches for Aussie automotive businesses using suburb names and returns results by searching in a radius around the suburb too so you always get results. Thanking you for your assistance Cheers, Vin
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted April 13, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted April 13, 2005 If you have original content, you may resubmit. Links to http://autoweb.com.au/ and other sites do not count as original content.
pointbis Posted April 13, 2005 Author Posted April 13, 2005 What if it's a mix of Unique & Non-unique content? What if the cars database is not mine (belongs to autoweb) but the business database is my original content? Should I submit the business database's inner page or is there something I can do so that when the editor reviews the website he/she will know that I do have a lot of original content too? Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions but I just want to be clear as I have a couple of other websites too which have original content mixed with a little shared stuff.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted April 13, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted April 13, 2005 Previous editors found that your content comes from a number of different sites. I just mentioned http://autoweb.com.au/ because I could easily see that's where it came from. If you highlight your unique content on the site and in the description, you stand a better chance of the reviewing editor finding it. I don't think I can be more specific, without giving away internal editor information.
