Sluefoot26 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Hello, Could someone please tell me the status of my submission request for http://www.mrgeckos.com. I have submitted this site in the past, and have never heard anything back at all. I have recently submitted to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Pets/Reptiles_and_Amphibians/Breeders_and_Dealers/Lizards/ Thank you. Tim Blackburn.
Meta shadow575 Posted April 12, 2005 Meta Posted April 12, 2005 I have submitted this site in the past, and have never heard anything back at all. I have recently submitted to You won't hear anything back, there are no automatic replies sent. The way to find out the status of a suggested site if you are interested is to check in these forums, so you have found right where you need to be. How *recently* did you last suggest the url? The forum guidelines require you to wait at least 30 days after the last suggestion date before inquiring about a site. What was the date which you last suggested the site on? Someone will then be able to have a look for you. Thanks. Shadow *The opinions I offer are my own and may not represent the opinions of Curlie.org or other editors.* It can take anywhere from two hours to several years for a site review to take place. I do not respond to private messages requesting site status checks. _______________________________________________ https://shadow575.wordpress.com/
Sluefoot26 Posted April 14, 2005 Author Posted April 14, 2005 I'm not sure of the exact date, but I would say at least 40-50 day's ago. However I have also submitted the same site in the same catagory about 9 -12 month's ago as well.
Sluefoot26 Posted April 14, 2005 Author Posted April 14, 2005 Do you think we're talking day's, month's, years??? Is it possible that the editor of that catagory is a competitor similar to my business and just does not want to include my site??? My first submission was almost a year ago!
jimnoble Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 What are the chances that all 200 editors who have editing permissions there are competitors do you think? We can't predict when your site might be reviewed. If it hasn't been listed in 6 months from today, please ask again in this same thread.
bobrat Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Read the forum FAQ for more information. It seems to be a common thought that ODP is totally populated by editors who are competitors. Very bizarre thinking. I must admit I'm against listing any stores that sell snakes - and I guarantee I have not approved a single one - but I'm biased as they keep trying to eat me.
