jcraven Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 I've been watching the category http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Massachusetts/Localities/C/Cambridge/Business_and_Economy/Computers_and_Internet/ for a while now as it's something I am personally interested in improving as Cambridge, MA should be represented as the tech hub of New England. My reason for posting is that the category has a broken link (Xpogen Incorporated -- http://www.xpogen.com/) and I didn't see a way to report this. Also, I know there isn't a schedule or anything, but is there a typical timeframe where categories are updated? Thanks in advance for the reply....
jeanmanco Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Thank you for letting us know about the broken link, which has now been removed. The change may not show immediately on the public side, but it should appear within a day or two. You can report broken links by using the 'update listing' link at the top of a category. Or there is a thread on this forum http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5453 No category is really without an editor, as editors in the categories above can edit there, as well as those who can edit throughout the directory. However, the editors being volunteers, they do as much as they like, when they like, and some categories attract more interest and attention than others. There is no typical timeframe. It varies enormously from category to category. We have an automatic link-checker, but even that does not run on a fixed schedule. (And it might not have picked up that particular problem, so it was helpful to let us know.)
