I submitted it to Recreation/Pets/Dogs/

I submitted around 6 weeks ago but was having trouble with the form so I emailed the submission info to the respective editor.

The category you submitted to is rather large and has a large backlog too. If there is a more specific category you could submit to, I would recommend doing so.
