Waiting for review. Thanks.

If you would care to identify which suburb/district of Perth you are in on the site on your contacts page, feel free to submit the site to the Regional branch, to the locality (suburb/district) category for a possible supplementary listing. We can't identify the locality from what is there so as it stands it would be impossible to place it in Regional properly.

Re: Details & Locality Category of my website submission currently waiting for review

Waiting for review. Thanks.

Thanks very much.

I have updated my contact details within the login area/member area as you suggested.

Please let me know if I need to update anywhere else as well. I operate in and around Perth, West Australia and hope that's OK for the regional settings. Can Perth not be my suburb?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you and kind regards,

Nicole

not your profile here, that's completely irrelevant, on http://www.nicoleboenigmcgrade.com/main.asp?Frame=contact is where we'd appreciate a better location for Regional placement. Perth is not sufficient. If you actually are one of those rare people that are based within the Perth CBD we probably need a street address, if in one of the suburbs, just the suburb name would be sufficient, although not as ideal.

Also consider that the Regional branch is really for sites that are useful to people looking for local information about a Locality (whether country town or suburb, or even 4 house intersection which has a web site or 2), which includes those businesses that have an actual physical location in that locality.

This is in addition to a listing in the Business branch, not instead of it. Each suggestion will be evaluated on it's own merits.

I have just realised that I am after a TOPICAL listing and a BUSINESS listing.

Is there any way I can update my application to reflect this?

I apologise for the confusion.

Thank you

Kind regards

Nicole

No, unfortunately this is not like Yahoo where one submittal does service for both. You have to submit separately to each category.

We've been discussing the Perth listing. My personal opinion is that the editing community will eventually recognize that portrait photography is an inherently local service business like beauty salons, plumbers, real estate agents, etc., -- so a galaxy-wide list of service providers simply isn't useful. The next step would be to distribute the Business listings to the Regional categories where they make sense and can actually be useful. And the other category would go away rather then be expanded pointlessly.

Your next step is to follow the suggestions given the Regional listing: and leave the other to the editors.

The caveat is that the latter is less likely to happen (for the reason given.)

I have just resubmitted my listing: http://www.nicoleboenigmcgrade.com

Website official name: Nicole Boenig - McGrade Contemporary Lifestyle Photography

under the category of: http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/Australia/Western_Australia/Arts_and_Entertainment/Photography/

I apologise for submitting my first application incorrectly under Regional, which is still under review.

Thank very much and kind regards, Nicole
