Choice of categories

I just made my first application to become an editor, so I may or may not get in, but after sending in the form, I realized I had no idea how to choose the appropriate category for things. I had submitted sites [keyword:mandala] under

 

Society: Religion and Spirituality: New Age: Shopping: Art

 

I chose that because the sites had items for sale

 

but how do you choose that as opposed to

 

Society: Religion and Spirituality: Arts: Visual: Sacred Geometry and Art: Designers and Galleries

 

or Arts: Visual Arts: Galleries: Virtual: Thematic

http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/New_Age/Shopping/Art/ : not the best category, in my opinion, unless you/site owners are courting a strictly New Age clientele.

 

http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Arts/Visual/Sacred_Geometry_and_Art/Designers_and_Galleries/ : should not be shopping, in my opinion.

 

http://dmoz.org/Arts/Visual_Arts/Galleries/Virtual/Thematic/ is definitely not a shopping category.

 

I think that the best fit for shopping-oriented mandala sites that don't cater to a specific religion would be http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Visual_Arts/Genres/Religious_and_Spiritual/ .
