chicagoguy Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 Greetings, Thanks for putting my friend's listing in the directory. I just checked it and the URL is spelled wrong. The correct spelling is: http://www.toirestores.com/ It is spelled incorrectly as http://toirestores.com/ The listing is at: Top: Regional: North America: United States: Illinois: Localities: O: Oak Park: Business and Economy If you can fix the address, we'd be very grateful. Thanks and Happy Mother's Day.
bobrat Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 http://toirestores.com/ works correctly - there is no reason to change it.
chicagoguy Posted May 8, 2005 Author Posted May 8, 2005 bobrat, you wrote the following: http://toirestores.com/ works correctly - there is no reason to change it. I won't argue that the link works. You being familiar with nigritude ultrmarine, I'm sure you know where I'm coming from. Would you want links to your site spelled without the www? Many thanks for your time anyway.
Meta pvgool Posted May 8, 2005 Meta Posted May 8, 2005 Would you want links to your site spelled without the www? Two questions are important 1) do people reach the site if the www is not included? 2) is the site with www the same as without? If both answers are yes what does it matter which link is registered. As long as the link we have registered is working their is no reason to change it. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
bobrat Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 links to your site spelled without the wwwNo, but that's my personal view. The subject is very open to debate as to whether it in fact makes a differerence. But that whole debate is about SEO, and the listings in ODP are made disregarding SEO and search engines. That's why why don't make changes to descriptions to optimize searches from Google.
