Guest joelF Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 Dear People at DMOZ: We submitted http://www.goodearthtours.com to http://www.dmoz.com/Regional/Africa/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Services/Tour_Operators/Adventure_Travel some time ago. Could you please let me know what's happening? I really appreciate your help Thanks!
Guest Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 Your site is already listed in http://dmoz.org/Regional/Africa/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Services/Tour_Operators/ . You can't have your site listed in both a category and one of its subcategories. If you want to change an existing listing, please use 'Update URL' in the category where your site is listed, and be prepared to explain what and why something should be modified. Your site may qualify for second listing in the Regional category where you office is located (Austin TX if I got this right), so you can submit it to http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Texas/Localities/A/Austin/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Services/ as well. BTW, a good read for all webmasters in the travel industries who wish to submit their site to the ODP are the ODP Travel Guidelines. While you're there, don't forget to have a look at the chapter dealing with 'Aggressive Submissions and Multiple Listings'. Thanks.

Guest joelF Posted April 22, 2003 Posted April 22, 2003 Thanks very much for your prompt help, it took me awhile to realize that the way to find the site was by typing in the title, not the Web address. Live and learn! Thanks again.
Meta windharp Posted April 23, 2003 Meta Posted April 23, 2003 You can search for the web address as well - without the www. - for example search for resource-zone.com to find any entry that matches this board. Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
