Keith Wymer Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Hi, Please could you let me know the status of http://www.pitmanlondon.org/ submitted 17th Feb, ’05 to: http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Training/ I believe this site is substantially different from http://www.holborntraining.co.uk/ which I submitted last year because it is made up of case studies resulting from training. Thanks, Keith
Meta hutcheson Posted May 16, 2005 Meta Posted May 16, 2005 The site is not eligible for a separate listing in the ODP -- in fact, even submitting it at all endangers the listing of any site with which you are associated (as the submittal policy states explicitly!) Of course its fraternal brother site may link to it (which gives surfers more knowledge of the business--and thus a greater benefit--than a separate ODP link could).
Keith Wymer Posted May 17, 2005 Author Posted May 17, 2005 Thank you. I'm learning fast. Not meaning to be rude, but I asked about the submission of the other site about 10 days ago and haven't heard anything. I know you're all volunteers so I wanted to ask is that normal or have I been overlooked? Keith
spectregunner Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 You may have been overlooked. It happens and there is no malice intended (unless you made your request less than 30 days since your most recent submission, in chech case you are being ignored). If more than 30 days have passed, return to that thread and post any type of reply, that will get your request moved bck up to the top of the heap, and should warrant a status check. I say should because, every once in a while a requester is so profoundly unlucky that they get passed over several times. I would never get in a small boat with them.
Keith Wymer Posted May 18, 2005 Author Posted May 18, 2005 Thanks very much. I'll do as you say. Keith
