MBurke Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 I discontinued my old geocities site and am having visitors redirected to my new add free site (which I would now like to submit to the ODP.) In reading the submission guidlines, I noticed that sites that redirect are not allowed, and I previously submitted my geocities site. Will this cause a problem? Please understand that I did not intentionally violate any of the submission guidlines. Thank you.
oneeye Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 If the site is already listed then submit an URL Update request to change the URL. If not listed then submit the new URL and mention the Geocities one when you write the description.

I regret failing to mention the Geocities site in the discription as you suggested, is there anything I can do to correct that oversight now?
Meta windharp Posted May 28, 2005 Meta Posted May 28, 2005 Your previous submission won't be a problem. The reviewing editor will just change it to the correct URL, and even if there are two identical submissions from that point on, two submissions don't make a spammer. So basically there is nothing you have to / can do. Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
