Guest JayJay Posted June 5, 2002 Posted June 5, 2002 Hi all, Just wanted to know if there's anyone actually editing the >Shopping: Home and Garden: Cleaning< Category. I've been trying to submit my site: http://www.ascleanedontv.com since way back in December 2001. I've made sure to follow the ODP Guidelines and have kept my description concise. The site offers the orange glo cleaning products and other 'as seen on tv' cleaning products. The category does list an editor, but I don't know if they're active. The reason I ask is because I've tried contacting the editor a couple of times and never received any responses. I hope I haven't offended the person(!) I've also resubmitted a couple of more times in compliance with the ODP Guidelines and still haven't gotten a response. I've corresponded with a few Editors (hutcheson et al) and they've given some good pointers (protocol) to follow when contacting an editor. I've followed their advice, but still haven't gotten any response let alone a listing for my site. Any help with this dilemma *and the long strange silence* is greatly appreciated. totalxsive Posted June 5, 2002 Posted June 5, 2002 Re: Hellooooo... is anyone there? One of your submissions was deleted back in March in a bulk job, but this was probably because it was submitted more than once. There are 169 submissions in that category waiting to be reviewed - please be patient.

Just some things you could have figured out yourself: 1) The category page says at the moment: "Last update: 21:03 PT, Saturday, June 1, 2002" - This is the last date someone touched something inside the main category you mentioned. 2) There is a listed editor in the category: Category editor: rise2it Both things would have been available to you from the category page itself. As I mentioned on my post, I did notice there was an editor - just didn't know if he/she was active as I've e-mailed him/her and never got a response.
