Brill Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 My gut feeling says it's limited to accounts with editor status and above.
Editall/Catmv arubin Posted September 1, 2005 Editall/Catmv Posted September 1, 2005 Exactly. And I've been chided for having (one of my) personal sites in my signature, which I no longer have.
so1oman Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I just joined this morning and this is one of the first questions I had. I wanted to post a quick note introducing myself, but didn't want it to include reference to my personal site unless that was acceptable. Didn't want to leave a bad taste in the Editor's mouths from the get-go. I'm more of an acquired taste.
motsa Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 We had members abusing the signatures. So we turned them off for anyone who wasn't an editor -- the fact that some members got decidedly cranky when we did that tells us that we made the right decision. If your (and that's a general "your") primary reason for being here is to have your URL seen in your signature, this is really not the place for you.
