Dirtydisco Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 http://search.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/search?search=internet+radio link 19 goes to a links page ? that same link is repeated further on also voice overs are hardly internet radio Internet radio :- A site that plays live or archived music or chat. A lot of the links are poor in this listing as a whole
wjcampbe Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 I have not looked at the provided link, so the response below is generic. We do content, not quality. Have another look and answer the editor's question - what is the one thng that is unique about this site? When reviewing a site, I do not check every link on every page, but do check enough to find the unique content, ensure the site is basically functional, and get information for the guideline compliant description. If you feel that a site has been placed in the wrong category, go to that category and use the Update Listing link at the top of the page to report your concerns. An editor with permissions in that area (there are around 200 editors who can edit everywhere in the directory) will look at the report and take appropriate action - which might be to do nothing - if s/he believes the listing is correct as is.

I will help you or the editor concerned http://search.about.com is not an internet radio its a general directory and the link in question that information is being pulled to be listed is spam
wjcampbe Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 I will help you or the editor concerned Unfortunately this does not help. Resource Zone is not DMOZ (aka ODP) but a place for discussion about the project. The way to raise a concern about a listing is explained above, but I will repeat it here. go to that category and use the Update Listing link at the top of the page
Alucard Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Dirtydisco, The one site that you highlighted is obviously a page that is no longer available, and I have removed it from the directory - thank you very much for the heads-up! (It won't disppear from the search results until they are updated, which might take a while.)
Meta pvgool Posted October 22, 2005 Meta Posted October 22, 2005 Resource Zone is not DMOZ (aka ODP) but a place for discussion about the project. We have a special thread Report Hijacks, Dead Links & Inappropriate ODP Content Here ONLY. If a site should not be listed give us the category url (clickable link please) and the site (title as shown in DMOZ) and why you think there is something wrong. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
