jam2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 A website from a company that has been posing as us for a few years has been included in the DMOZ directory. We get several complaints a month from customers regarding this company. I filled out a spam report but I'm not sure if that was the correct place to report it. Who do I need to contact regarding this issue? The site is part of a huge link farm and I'm sure that DMOZ does not want sites like this included in their directory.
oneeye Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Please mention the category and the site. An editor will check if the site is listable. As for it posing as your site we cannot be arbiters of that or in any other way take sides in webmaster disputes. If the site is listable then we would only remove it if it was taken down.
Alucard Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Normally in cases like this we suggest that you take legal measures against the other company, or at the very least get in touch with the ISP that is hosting the site to get it taken down.
