Can somebody please help

Hi there

 

I have submitted my site http://www.apply2uni.co.uk to the Open Directory in the following cat:

I did this 6 months ago and am still not listed. If anyone has any suggestions as to why my sites not listed it would be very much appreciated.

We don't give status reports in the forum anymore, nor do we do site reviews here. But six months is well within (probably near the center of) the typical delay, so that fact gives no reason of itself to suspect that the site has been reviewed unfavorably.

Is there anywhere I can check to make sure that my application is being reviewed, I have been told that if I resubmit I will be penilized?

There is no place you can check -- we formerly offered that service but discontinued it.

 

Ther is no formal penalty for a single resubmission to the same category -- at best it has no impact at all, at worst, it could delay consideration if the editor chooses to sort by submission/suggestion date (a resumission rewrites the submission date).

 

It is somewhat a null event, but if it makes you feel better, go for it! Please don't make a habit of it, though.
