ranks1 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 If I submitted a website that I made banners, buttons, or flash, freely from scratch for website owners.....would this be considered original content. The reason I ask this is because I keep seeing where Meta's and Edit's say: we are looking for original content. It may not be an original concept, but it is most definitely original content. I am not looking for an argument just a direction for my new websites. Thank you, guys
martinpaling Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 conceptually - yes you should suggest the site. (once finished) in reality you won't know if its listable until you see it listed.
Meta pvgool Posted December 18, 2005 Meta Posted December 18, 2005 I am not looking for an argument just a direction for my new websites. You should never build a website to be inlcuded in DMOZ. Build them for your customers / visitors. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
ranks1 Posted December 18, 2005 Author Posted December 18, 2005 listed in Dmoz You may not believe this, but you guys are on the top of every web designers list....yes there are other means: pay per click, paid inclusion, and other good ideas.....however a good listing in DMOZ cuts that paid inclusion budget way down ! My dad always said: you have to spend money, to make money ! so I have never been repulsed by the Idea of paying for my site to get to the top, however my sites have never asked for money for services and is more of a challenge to me, rather than a income source. I make plenty of money at my job and according to the US poles I'm what they call blessed. according to the US stats I am one of the few 2% . but its all about the challenge, not the race...wouldn't you say ?
