Editall jdaw1 Posted December 29, 2005 Editall Posted December 29, 2005 Should there be a category to hold standards institutes? If there already is such a category, I failed to find it. There is plenty of material for an English-langauge category, and also for Spanish French Portuguese German categories in World. With English content Asociación Espanola de Normalización y Certificación, Association française de normalisation, British Standards Institution, European Committee for Standardization, Bureau de Normalisation du Québec, Canadian Standards Association, Deutsches Institut für Normung, Croatian State Office for Standardization and Metrology, Hellenic Organization for Standardization, European Organization for Technical Approvals, International Code Council, International Standards Organisation, Japanese Standards Association, Magyar Szabványügyi Testület, Sri Lanka Standards Institution, Nederlands Normalisatie-instituut, National Standards Authority of Ireland, Österreichisches Normungsinstitut, Singapore Productivity and Standards Board, South African Bureau of Standards, Standards Council of Canada, Suomen Standardisomislitto - Finnish Standards Institute, Malaysian Standards and Research Institute, Standardiseringen i Sverige, Standardiseringens Nøkkelside, Standards New Zealand, Standards Australia, Thai Industrial Standards Institute, Trinidad & Tobago Bureau of Standards, Ente Nazionale Italiano di Unificazione. Without English content (many in Spanish) Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas, Deutscher Ausschuß für Stahlbeton, Réglementation Européennes des Produits de Construction, Dansk Standard, Gosstandard Rossii, Instituto Colombiano de Normas Técnicas Y Certificación, Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y de la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual, Instituto Nacional de Normalizacion, Chile, Instituto Portuguès de Qualidade, Swiss Association for Standardization.
lisahinely Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 http://dmoz.org/Science/Reference/Standards/Organizations/ I found it searching on ISO
Editall jdaw1 Posted December 29, 2005 Author Editall Posted December 29, 2005 Thanks. Clickably, Science: Reference: Standards: Organizations: National, which doesn't have the sites for which I searched. Some submissions ('suggestions' -- see elsewhere) might be made later.
giz Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Send the sites in to the appropriate category, and they will be considered at some point in the future. It will be more interesting looking at those, than deleting the Spanish language sites about mexican business parks, and random casino, real estate and pharma sites that usually get submitted there.
giz Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 >>> International Standards Organisation << *cough* It's the International Organisation for standardisation.
