nutzaboutchico Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Hello DMOZ Team, I have submitted approx 4-5 requests for a description & change to my DMOZ listing over the last 2 years. I followed the guidelines, spoke professionally and polietly. Yet never heard a response or confirmation. Can I ask how to "effectively" persue this request? I have summarized the changes below. Thank you, N.A.C. Chico, CA almond king of CA (site) http://www.line-man.com (current location) http://dmoz.org/Business/Telecommunications/Construction,_Installation,_and_Maintenance/ ____________________________________________________ Requested changes: 1- small edit to description: Where a Lineman can find Jobs, Boots, Tools and College. 2- new category: http://dmoz.org/Business/Energy_and_Environment/Utilities/News_and_Media/
bobrat Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Where a Lineman can find Jobs, Boots, Tools and College. is an unacceptable description and the request would be denied (This is the same answer that you received on Feb 15 last year http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15631)
nutzaboutchico Posted January 4, 2006 Author Posted January 4, 2006 Sorry, totally forgot about hte thread on making the changes, I do recall the follow up on the submission checkup. Thanks for the speedy response NAC
Meta hutcheson Posted January 4, 2006 Meta Posted January 4, 2006 >Can I ask how to "effectively" persue this request? There is no way. That is for our protection, and the directory's integrity. The directory's description is driven by community guidelines and surfer needs. You can suggest -- you have suggested. We can accept or decline. That's the end of it. There is no further communication, nor any need of any. Whatever self-description you wish to give, can and should be given on the site itself. That is completely under your own control.
